Hello.

ABOUT
BlueTree.org is the not-for-profit 'awareness arm' of BlueTree Artists/Booking. We work to empower musicians & artists to help kids in need and have been actively supporting 501(c)3 non-profit organizations since 1997 (bands since 2001).

BandsWithoutBorders.org is a newer Seattle based non-profit consulting group founded in 2006 that connects musicians of many levels in a real emotional way with solid humanitarian organizations helping children around the world. We then work to help the bands empower their 100's or 1000's of young fans to get active, volunteer, and make a difference through being involved with a specific organization.

Our focus generally is on:

1. CLEAN WATER & sanitation which reduces sickness thereby helping people actually absorb nutrients from the food they do have. Accessible clean water also allows children to have time to go to school rather than haul water all day to survive.

2. EDUCATION & Empowerment for youth through arts

3. ENDING SLAVERY in the US & around the world

CAPTURE TO PROTECT
Tiny Stars, a 501(c)3 non-profit based in Santa Barbara, CA is creating a documentary about the Protect Act & capturing child exploiters confessions (on hidden cameras) in the US & abroad so they can be prosecuted and brought to justice. YOU can help. Capturing one of these perpetrators can often save 100's or 1000's of children from harm.

Clean Water for Haiti

Haiti ranks dead last on the International Water Poverty Index.

5 million of 8.5 million people in Haiti do not have access to clean water.

At least 75% live in poverty. Haiti is about the size of the US
state of Maryland but with 80% unemployment.

1 of every 8 kids in Haiti die before reaching age 5

BlueTree Support:  November 2003 through August 2005

[Clean Water for Haiti is actually run by volunteers that do not even take salaries, so your donation goes to very good use.]

Past organizations:
Water Missions International - 8/2/03 - 11/20/03
Project Hope Orphanage - Theos Work - 10/18/02 - 8/1/03
Alternative Missions:  9-16-02 -- 10-17-02
Servlife International:  6-1-02 -- 915-02

All charities we support have been researched to show great need as well as responsible use of funds towards assisting children with very low overhead and admin costs.

A while back, we had the opportunity to hear Mary Robinson speak on Ethical Globalization. She's the former president of Ireland and now in charge of Human Rights @ The UN. Interesting read.

And were at the Bread for the World conference in Seattle in November, 2005 to hear Rick Steves talk about responsible travel & other global issues we can impact.  He also spoke about this at the Water 1st benefit November 2006 at Benaroya.
